Guidelines when you meet your client (of course all of your clients will request for 'a luxurious yacht', for 'the best yacht' in the lower price).
To determine which one, we need to know budget and size, charter duration and charter month. In detail: • Indicative budget (especially ahead of the major exchange rates differences, a figure is translated completely different in another currency. For example in the past we used to promote family boats of 75ft in rates around USD 3500/day for 8 guests. Today the 3-cabin family boats are offered in starting rates of Euro 3,000/day that is USD 4500/day approx.) • Motor or sail preference (indeed motor yachts offer luxury and more amenities, water toys and facilities, exemptions are the bigger traditional or sailing yachts in their class) • Estimated Size of the yacht (we will be accurate in our offers and try to bargain with the owners when we collect specific requests instead of ‘between 20m-40m’ ) • Estimated dates and estimated charter duration (rates vary depending period and availability of course) • Preferable destination to cruise and if regular visitors or first time visitors (it is great to know) • If any cruising experience in the past (comments and if any subjects to be pointed out)
We revert then with a full offer in various yachts available as per your clients’ requirements. We forward pdf brochures copied from our web, brokers’ friendly and anticipate for the comments. We may forward corporate brochures and individual brochures at any stage of the request.
A Preference Sheet is always presented in a later stage of booking the charter. A detailed questionnaire is provided, requesting information on the travel arrangements, special needs, guests likes or dislikes, dietary or medical requirements, special dates, or any other information that you feel we need to know for your clientele. This preference sheet is vital in order for us to provision the yacht properly and confirm all special arrangements.
